DESCRIPTION

PTFE o-rings are designed for a wide variety of sealing applications. PTFE has excellent heat, fuel and chemical resistance and is acceptable for temperature applications between -328F to 500F. PTFE is vulnerable to high vacuum seals, low compression vacuum sealing flanges, and super-heated steam. 

PTFE does not have the "memory" of elastomeric compounds, so it's poor resilience make it a bad choice for most o-ring applications. Please consult the H&D technical group for assistance.
